Structural Analysis

For the study of our designs we use Scan and Solve FE package.
We can offer this service separately.

Structural analysis aims to predict deformation and stresses in a body (or collection of bodies) that is restrained from moving and is subjected to external forces (loads). It requires a solid model and specification of body restrictions and loads.
VK Yacht is able to perform linear static analysis with the use of Scan&Solve™ package. Scan&Solve™ solution can provide insight into structural properties of the solid and help in choosing the best available alternative. Linear static analysis predicts the magnitude of stresses and elastic displacements within the body. In locations where the magnitude of stresses exceed certain levels, linear static analysis predicts material failure based on several experimentally verified failure criteria : von Mises and maximum shear stress failure criteria (applicable to ductile materials), Rankine, Coulomb-Mohr and Modified Mohr failure criteria (used for brittle materials).




Hydrodynamic Analysis

For the study of our designs we use FINE/MARINE CFD Suite for Marine Applications.
We can offer this service separately.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) offers in-depth analysis of flow phenomena. It requires full-scale modelling and specification of flow parameters.
VK Yacht is able to perform hydrodynamic analysis with the use of FINE/MARINE CFD Suite for Marine Applications. FINE/MARINE can predict the flow, both qualitatively and quantitative, in a very hight level of accuracy. Can be used for a numerous marine applications including resistance and propulsion analysis, sea keeping, manoeuvring, optimization studies and hydraulics. The application of CFD analysis in an early stage of the design process can offer innovative and efficient solutions to the marine industry.

Solid Modeling and Photorealism

For the development of our designs we use Rhinoceros and V-Ray packages.
We can offer these services separately.

Three dimensional (3D) solid modeling and photorealistic presentation are essential tools to marine industry. They provide the basis for development and visualisation of the design work.
VK Yacht is able to develop solid models and perform photorealistic visualisation with the use of Rhinoceros and V-Ray packages. Rhinoceros modeling tools for designers, uses NURBS (no uniform rational bi splines) for the development of high-detailed three dimensional drawings. V-Ray works on Rhino 3D models to generate high-quality images of unparalleled realism.
